Laura is a mum to five energetic boys, a lover of the outdoors, and a creative spirit with a passion for design, family, and adventure. With a background in marketing and social media, she brings her eye for detail and connection to everything she does, whether it’s renovating a space, sketching designs, or exploring the natural beauty of the Lake District..
A self-confessed serial renovator, Laura is currently taking on her biggest project yet – transforming a former nursing home, affectionately named Our Vera, into a unique family home. She has a love for clashing prints and spaces with personality, drawing much of her inspiration from nature and the joy of the outdoors.
At her core, Laura is driven by joy, and a love for her family and life. Whether she’s spending time with her family and dogs, renovating with a creative flair, or soaking up the beauty of nature, she finds inspiration in the world around her and in the connections she makes along the way
LAURA KEELER CREATIVE BEGAN…
As a seed in early 2009 whilst renovating her family home alongside husband, Chris and spending time in the Lake District with Alfie and Finlay, then toddlers. The Lake District holds a special place in her heart, fuelling her creativity and providing the perfect backdrop for her favourite activities: walking, running, and wild swimming. When struggling to find inspiration for the boys bedrooms, Laura had the idea of bringing their adventures into the home using hand drawn illustrations.

“I KNEW SOMETHING SPARKED WHEN WE WERE RENOVATING …”
Laura’s journey into design began with her love for house renovations, where she discovered a passion for transforming spaces with creativity and joyful choices. As she and husband, Chris tackled one project after another, her confidence in combining colours, patterns, and textures grew, sparking a deeper interest in creating her own unique designs. Encouraged by her family, Laura began to channel her creativity into hand-drawn illustrations, blending her love for interiors with her artistic vision.

Inspired by countless adventures in the Lake District, Laura’s designs capture the natural beauty and spirit of the outdoors. Her debut collection, Winder~Meremaid, draws on the landscapes, wildlife, and tranquil waters of this breathtaking region, reimagined through her individual and intricate style. Each design reflects not only her creative evolution but also the memories with her boys and moments that have shaped her, turning her passion for renovation and design into something truly personal and unique.

“I NEVER KNEW THE TAPESTRY OF LIFE COULD BE SO LITERAL…”
The Lake District holds a special place in her heart, fueling her creativity and providing the perfect backdrop for her favourite activities: drawing, running, and wild swimming. Her eclectic taste in music, a gift from her dad, is a constant companion. Childhood road trips to St. Ives in the back of a Montego estate with her sister and brothers are fond memories, soundtracked by her dad’s diverse playlists that went far beyond the Bananarama, Roxette, and Madonna tapes spinning in their Walkmans.
Exploring the land where Wainwright and Wordsworth walked inspired me to create designs that capture the beauty, heritage, and spirit of the English Countryside ..
